Creative Writing - The Burning of the Estate, Light Wings

Black smoke floated through the sky, wafting from the house from the wind blowing the little black clouds. I approached the lawn cautiously, and drew nearer to the little hell. A silhouette of light reflected against my eyes and my brain transmitted the skinny object on the roof: a woman, was still, observing the view of the yard of the house she once knew. She started flying, flapping her wings, and she touched down on the landing strip straight below her. She lay silent, unmoving. Then, a light started floating from her body while she lay still. The light grew wings and with those wings, she started to fly again. The fire consumed her body, and the magnificent building was in ruins. Then I stood, calm, and watched the fire consume the earth and everything along with it.
